Punb polls: SAD declares third list of candidates

Chandigarh: The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab on Sunday released its third list of 10 candidates for the January 30 state assembly election. 

SAD general secretary Prem Singh Chandumajra's name figures in the third list and he will contest from Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. 

The party has so far announced candidates for 73 seats in the 117-member assembly. 

The SAD will contest 94 assembly seats leaving 23 for its ally BJP. Names of 21 more party contestants will be announced shortly, SAD chief and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said. The SAD has already announced the names of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his Deputy Sukhbir Badal who will seek re-election from Lambi and Jalalabad respectively.
